I work long hours, and generally just have this channel on repeat for videos in the background. Either it's the first time I'm hearing Jun speak solo for so long, but I think his mastery of English has improved so smoothly compared to 5 years ago. It was already top level, but I something's just slightly different.

I always thought butterflies (and other insects, not bloodsuckers) like landing on the skin because of the moisture that builds up. I live in a humid place and in the early summer butterflies will just land on you if you sit still.

Here's a question about cat food, Jun. I have two cats, about 2 years old (brother and sister), and I normally feed them dry food (I tried feeding them fresh raw fish when they were younger, but even when I chopped it small, they wouldn't touch it). Now that I'm learning that grain-based foods aren't really very healthy for cats, I'm considering switching to Elizabeth, the brand you mentioned in one of your videos. The only problem is, the product only comes in a 1.8 liter bag (about a 10-day supply for my cats). I don't know what I'll do if they refuse to eat it! I currently feed them different varieties of the 懐石 2-Dish brand (some of which have real dried fish, seaweed, etc.), which are about 1/10th of the cost of Elizabeth... so now I feel guilty for giving them a "cheap" food. Any thoughts or advice would be welcome! :-)

You both asked for ideas on kitchen counter height and some other things that are less common in Japan. There is another couple who are renovating a home. The wife is Japanese and husband is Australian. They faced some of the same challenges, as he is taller. They had a specific budget as well. Perhaps they can help you figure out some ways to rework the kitchen and spaces to help with Jun's height and your budget needs. You can find their channel under Tokyo llama
